This Vehicle Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the rental of any vehicle provided by Slocky's Enterprise to the customer (“Renter”). It applies together with the confirmed booking and any signed pick-up form.
1. Driver requirements
- Minimum age: 25 years (18–24 accepted with a young-driver surcharge and additional deposit).
- Valid driving licence held for at least 2 years. International Driving Permit required for non-English licences.
- Valid ID or passport presented at pick-up.
- Only drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.
2. Vehicle condition and inspection
The vehicle is delivered clean, fuelled and in good working order. A joint inspection is conducted at pick-up and drop-off, documented with photographs. Any pre-existing damage is recorded on the check-out sheet. The Renter must report any defect immediately.
3. Permitted use
- Use is limited to paved public roads in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
- No off-road or beach driving unless expressly authorised and equipped.
- No transport of hazardous, illegal or perishable goods that could damage the vehicle.
- No racing, driving instruction, towing or sub-letting.
- Smoking, vaping and pets are only permitted if pre-approved; a cleaning fee applies otherwise.
4. Fuel
Fuel policy is “same-to-same”: the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up. Any missing fuel is charged at the local pump price plus a refuelling service fee.
5. Mileage
Standard rentals are unlimited-mileage unless the confirmation states otherwise.
6. Insurance and liability
The rental includes third-party liability insurance as required by Grenadian law and a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess disclosed at booking. The Renter is responsible for damage up to the excess amount, and for all damage not covered by insurance (single-vehicle roll-over, off-road, driving under influence, unauthorised driver, wilful misconduct). Underbody, tyres, glass, keys and interior damage are excluded from CDW unless a specific waiver is purchased.
7. Deposits and security
A refundable security deposit is pre-authorised on the Renter's card at pick-up. Deposits are released after inspection and settlement of any charges (fuel, tolls, fines, damage).
8. Accidents and theft
- Immediately stop and secure the scene.
- Call emergency services if there are injuries.
- Notify Slocky's Enterprise within 1 hour.
- Obtain and file a police report within 24 hours — required for any insurance claim.
- Do not admit fault or sign third-party documents without authorisation.
9. Traffic fines and tolls
The Renter is responsible for all traffic fines, penalties, tolls, parking and administrative fees incurred during the rental. An administrative handling fee applies to each infringement.
10. Return
The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date, time and location. Late returns incur an extra-day charge (or hourly grace of up to 59 minutes). Early returns do not entitle refunds unless agreed in writing.
11. Breakdown assistance
Slocky's Enterprise provides breakdown assistance during the rental period. The Renter must not attempt repairs without authorisation.
12. Personal belongings
Slocky's Enterprise is not responsible for items left in the vehicle. Recovered items are stored for up to 30 days.
13. Data and telematics
Some vehicles carry GPS/telematics devices for security and fleet management. Data is used only for those purposes and in line with our Privacy Policy.
14. Termination
Slocky's Enterprise may terminate this Agreement with immediate effect for serious breach (misuse of the vehicle, false information, non-payment, unauthorised driver) and repossess the vehicle at the Renter's cost.
15. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Grenada. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Grenada.
